I’m inside it, I have been
Going backwards, still sitting

Fall into me, right through me
I’ve been lying, so lowly

So bitter
I am yours
In this river
I am yours

Can you see the, eye so blue
Light forever, look up to

I’m inside it
Out of mind with you
I’m inside it
Out of mind with you

So bitter
I am yours
In this river
I am yours

Someone please make a short film or visualization of this piece of music.

It sound so cinematic to me,
this noise rock, shoegaze, post-punk from Ireland 🇮🇪

Just Mustard - Still - Hype Machine

This is simply an excellent (recent) video about the JWST:

(note: I found the link in a post here in federated timeline but lost the post, so apologies for the repost)

How to combat procrastination:

write down everything you intend to do on a given day;

when distracted (or at risk of being distracted) write down what’s on your mind that distracts you or is developing to become a distraction

...if you produce demos under the assumption that people will listen to recordings of yours that are not related to their business?

Why not do custom demos only and use that as your marketing pitch?

Then you’d save yourself some time spending either thousands of dollars/euros or your time.

Are demo reels a waste of your money/time...

...if you send a free custom demo to your prospect anyway–to convince them of working with you?

...if your demos don’t reflect your current level of performance (even 1-year-old demos)?

...if you publish them to a website that nobody knows?

...if you produce them so you you can sign up for pay-to-play websites that don’t lead to well-paying jobs?

I feel this is important to emphasize when I see people kicking off their businesses with shiny objects first, as a way to avoid doing the hard work first and/or distracting themselves from doing the most important work.

You don’t need a website, a logo, business cards, et cetera, when you’re starting out. What you need is...

An opportunity for people to buy something from you (an offer).

People buying from you (conversion).

You need an offer that converts.

Once you have an offer that converts, you scale, meaning: you do more (often) of what works.

Scaling can include and usually does include having a website.

Nudists are happy about the benefits of home office (remote work) during the current European heatwave, and regular people as well; Zoom calls can happen with only a light t-shirt on 👨‍💼👕 👩‍💼👚 but no underwear ❌🩳 ❌🩲

If you like forest-y new-age harp music, you may appreciate Nailah Hunter’s “Forest Dark”

I don’t understand why they say ‘melting’ 🫠 when it comes to heat and high temperatures, when ‘drying out’ 🏜 seems more appropriate.

But that’s just me being me.

What do you call a dog that can do magic?

A Labracadabrador.

Having experienced James Schramko multiple times over the last couple of years, his “Work Less Make More” is the first book whose lesson I’m actually implementing in my journey as a voice actor.

James lives in Australia.

Has a family.

Surfs every single day.

Works 15-ish hours a week.

You can listen to his short 52-minute interview with Rick Mulready here, if you’re not familiar with James Schramko yet (it’s the piece of content that made me buy his book):

Sometimes I feel that people are confused. They try to find answers in an ark but struggle to find one.

Then I say:

“I Noah guy!”

A pixel-art-based interactive journal of a guy who's currently walking the Appalachian Trail. He seems to update pretty frequently.

Remember when the internet was this fun all the time?

“Web3 is a fun buzzword used by a group of people who believe our use of the web will evolve into a digital land-grab where you can monetise absolutely everything with the help of environment-destroying technology.” - Laura Kalbag @laura
